WonHundred Word Wednesdays

Here's another prompt:

No matter what you hear, no matter how badly you want to, do NOT open your eyes.

It’s not like anyone knows what ghosts do.

No, all the crazies in the world think we’re there to scare people on demand. They even take each other to old houses and say stupid things like: “No matter what you hear, no matter how badly you want to, do NOT open your eyes.

It’s not like I’m going to stand in front of you and wait for the right moment to scare you. No, that’s just dumb.

What we really do is follow you home so we’ll know the best place to get you back. That’s when it gets fun.

Now go see what the other's have done.

WonHundred Word Wednesday.

Another Wednesday to exercise my writing muscles. These are so helpful to get the brain going in other ways than where it's been. Sometimes I just want to keep going and write a full story from these prompts. Maybe someday I will.

I stared at the flames that had burst out of my fingers. There was no way I could get out of this without an explanation.
Karl’s eyes widened, then he swallowed and smiled. “I always knew there was something different about you.”
I blinked. My mouth opened and closed, trying to form itself around the words slamming into each other in my stunned mind.
“How long have you been able to do that?” Karl asked.
                “Since I was three.”

He nodded and pulled off his shoes. “Much cooler than what I can do.” He said as he floated above me.

Won Hundred Word Wednesday

It's once again Wednesday, and therefore it's time for another

“Would you like fries with that?”

I shook my head. Counting calories wasn’t fun. But I would fit in that prom dress if it was the last thing I did. Jess said that Tamara said that Lisa said that Carrie said that Paul planned to ask me to Prom.

I took my change, and turned to fill my drink when the side door opened. Paul held the door for Melissa. They kissed as the door closed behind her. I turned back to the counter, butting in front of the couple there.

“On second thought, give me the largest you’ve got.”

Now go see what the others have come up with.

WonHundred Word Wednesdays

Once again it's time for a 100 word story

The prompt for this week:

"Today's Horoscope: Your prized possession will end up in someone else's hands"

I stared at him wondering the best way to get my revenge. Mutilation might work, but I never did like blood. I didn’t own a gun, and again the blood thing. Maybe I could tie him up to the tree then kick the ant pile a couple feet away. I knew of a wasps nest, but I doubted I’d be able to get the two of them together without damage to myself.

He closed the book and looked up. The shock in his eyes at being discovered reading my journal was priceless. Maybe I didn’t have to kill him.

now  go see what the others did.
