Another Wednesday, another Writing prompt:
In all the years I've lived here, I never once called this place my home.
In all the years I’ve
lived here, I never once called this place my home. They say home is where your
heart is. I gave mine to someone once. He said it was just for a little while.
That he’d give it right back. But he kept it. Locked in a box. Now my step
mother opens the box every now and then and strokes it. She’s changed since I
last saw her. Creepier. Lonely. She never comes out of the castle anymore, just
stares in her mirror.
Oh well. I’ve got a meal
to prepare for seven hungry men.
