I felt a little different in the approach to today's prompt.
THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE IS:
It’s hard work. And it isn’t about you. On occasion, it
isn’t even fun. It’s staying up all
night with a sick child, cleaning up vomit for the eighth time.
It’s giving up your wants for someone else’s needs.
It’s 100 percent on both sides.
It’s trusting someone enough to let them see your faults,
and not pointing out his.
It’s being willing to apologize when you were in the right,
and to forgive when you were wronged.
It’s more than a physical attraction. It’s when two partial
souls find each other and make the effort to become one soul.

" It’s when two partial souls find each other and make the effort to become one soul." Oh how I love that line!!! So true :)
ReplyDeleteI love that last thought, too! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like this! Very beautifully said. :)
ReplyDelete"It’s staying up all night with a sick child, cleaning up vomit for the eighth time." This is love I understand.
ReplyDeleteCan I just say, I appreciate that one of the labels on this post is "vomit."
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did here. You captured all the work and difficulty that goes into love, but somehow you still managed to make it sound wonderful. I love that.
hehe I couldn't help myself with labeling it vomit. :D
DeleteI like the message of "making an effort to become" because love is remade in hundreds of ways.
